Hey i was just wondering how should i go about increasing the dryness of my beer , i made a belgian triple last month and its pretty damn good but id like to increase the dryness of it and im not sure exactly how i should go about doing so , im trying to clone chimay triple and im almost spot on except the dryness factor , i havent really looked into making beer dryer but i think i remember reading something about adding extra sugars to the fermenter during fermentation. thanks. :mug:

Mashing at lower temperatures will dry it out. As will adding sugar to the fermenter as primary fermentation wanes. I think I added sugar to my tripel when the beer was about 4 or 5 points from final gravity. Adding it too early risks the yeast switching from working on the maltose to the sucrose, IIRC.
