Anyone tried doing it this way before? I have my pale ale in the primary for 4 weeks and then I will do the bottling this weekend. Do you guys think that there will too much yeasty flavours from the dead yeast?

I am keeping the temp at 18-22 degrees celsius.

You're fine. The only ultimate way to find out is to actually taste it. If it tastes fine, bottle it. You would need to go much longer than 4 weeks to get off flavors from autolysis.

I think you'll be fine. I've got two beers in primary at the minute and I'm planning to leave them both there for four weeks. I've heard good things about longer primary times so I'm keen to see what effect it has.

Thanks. Saw a lot of brewers talking about this 1-2-3 thing and got a little worried. But I guess I shouldn't be. Happy brewing everybody!
