So I went to a AHA rally yesterday at Kane brewing they gave away 5 gallons of the imperial stout they brew. So I thought I had 2 packs of S05 but it seems like I got one 04 and one 05. My question is could I pitch both or should I wait till tomorrow when my LHBS is open to get another S05?

The SG is 1.080 for this beer! Cant wait to ferment it and taste what I get especially when I split off smaller batches to add stuff to!

Two days late, but I'd probably have pitched what I had. What did you end up doing?

I went ahead and decided to do one of each. Maybe get the higher attenuation from the 05 and maybe flavor from the 04...I am clueless.

I also plan on splitting some batches off when I go to a secondary. Maybe 1 gallon of a mole type stout.

Good call to pitch what you had. I very often mix 04&05 in big batches and it always works great. Whether ipa or stout you get a mix of characteristics from each yeast. Best of all worlds.

PS - I love Kane!!!
