Newcomer to brewing, brewing 1 gallon batches in a small apartment.
I brewed my first beer last month (Imperial Stout, turned out great) but found that chilling the wort in my kitchen sink was a pain, specially since I have to buy bags of ice and walk them home from the store.
I see the standard immersion wort chillers are about 25' for 5 gallon Brewers, but I was wondering how long I should get for my 1-gallon brewing? Does anyone else use an immersion chiller for their 1 gallon brews? Is there a better way I'm not thinking of?

I use my 25 footer for all my batches, 1 gallon included. I use a standard 5 gallon boil kettle so it fits nicely. If you're using a smaller boil kettle it may not fit. You could either make your own or try snugging down the coils on a 25' one to get it to fit into a smaller kettle.

A good trick for rolling copper tubing and keeping it from kinking is fill it with water and solder a cap on each end. The water won't let it kink and you can cut the cap off when done forming. Sand works too but harder to fill smaller lines..
