Sound about right?:D

I googled it but this could be wrong.

~40g star san or 1 liquid oz star san / 5 gallons water or 20 quarts water = 2g star san/ 1 quart water.

weight seems like a weird way to do this but it could be done.

Personally I would do volume:volume since its a liquid. The odd amount added at the end though might mean weight is better. For my 24 ounce bottle i need .22tsp so just i do 1/4 tsp into 24 ounces. Anyway quick math for 32 ounces.

1oz/5gallons | 1 gallon/128 ounces | 32 ounces = .05oz Starsan

.05oz | 6tsp/1oz | = .3tsp

just take a 1/4tsp and fill it up extra tall lol.

If you have a pipette can also just add 1.48ml

Just giving you other options:)

Figure out the level for a 1/4 tsp and then mark it on the bottle with a sharpie to make it easy in the future.

or you could make a gallon, poor a little into the spray bottle and keep the gallon container (milk jug) under your sink.

i pretty much have at least a gallon of starsan in a bucket at all times, so i just fill out of that when I need to refill the spray bottle. never even pondered the thought of just mixing up a spray bottle sized batch of starsan.

I have a free 320z bottle in the mail to me, i plan to dedicate one of my 2.5 gal pales to a mix of it and pour some in my spray bottle. Super excited to move on from bleach

Call me cheap if you want, but I don't like to waste stuff. I'm making a starter tonight and just need a spray bottle. Tomorrow I will mix a gallon.:ban:

I pretty much weigh everything food related.

I bought a 5 gallon water bottle for $6 and filled it with ro water and filled1oz. Of starsan 2 years ago. It's rye almost empty but still good.

But why not just make the gallon today and fill the bottle? Then you'll still have all the rest tomorrow....... seems easier.

I made 4 or so gallons a month an a half ago ,and last night
I just added half a 5 gallon dose to that , I guess I have to pick up
some PH strips and check it to see if it's still good.

Mork from ork dude! .

He can't help it. The show was cancelled 29 years ago, prolly before he was born.

Sorry my mistake, you said mark the level for 1/4 tsp and I thought that was funny because a quarter teaspoon isn't really very much and would be very hard to mark on a 32 oz bottle.

Your way is better!

I know how to fix the problem I just created, but what if I left the .5oz in the 32oz bottle? (Vs. .05oz) Is it possible for this concentration to be harmful?

Thanks Mr. geek! I have a couple old milk jugs I will mix up and store for a starter day or something. I just wanted to share my screw-up with the world home brewers.
