I'm going to add 2g of star san to my 32oz spray bottle.

I googled it but this could be wrong.

~40g star san or 1 liquid oz star san / 5 gallons water or 20 quarts water = 2g star san/ 1 quart water.

weight seems like a weird way to do this but it could be done.

Personally I would do volume:volume since its a liquid. The odd amount added at the end though might mean weight is better. For my 24 ounce bottle i need .22tsp so just i do 1/4 tsp into 24 ounces. Anyway quick math for 32 ounces.


1oz/5gallons | 1 gallon/128 ounces | 32 ounces = .05oz Starsan

.05oz | 6tsp/1oz | = .3tsp

just take a 1/4tsp and fill it up extra tall lol.

If you have a pipette can also just add 1.48ml

Just giving you other options

or you could make a gallon, poor a little into the spray bottle and keep the gallon container (milk jug) under your sink.

i pretty much have at least a gallon of starsan in a bucket at all times, so i just fill out of that when I need to refill the spray bottle. never even pondered the thought of just mixing up a spray bottle sized batch of starsan.

I have a free 320z bottle in the mail to me, i plan to dedicate one of my 2.5 gal pales to a mix of it and pour some in my spray bottle. Super excited to move on from bleach

I made 4 or so gallons a month an a half ago ,and last night
I just added half a 5 gallon dose to that , I guess I have to pick up
some PH strips and check it to see if it's still good.

It's 30 mL per oz - if the density is close to water, it would 30 grams - but it might be 40 grams if it more dense.

No I'm serious. I have a 48oz spray bottle. I sharpied a line on it around 32oz. Fill to that line, add 1/4 tsp of star san.

Sorry my mistake, you said mark the level for 1/4 tsp and I thought that was funny because a quarter teaspoon isn't really very much and would be very hard to mark on a 32 oz bottle.
