Hello, everyone.
I'm in the market for a kegerator that will complete my recently completed outdoor bar/grill area. I sized the area based on the Beverage Air BM23 mainly because of it's 4 corny keg capacity: http://www.kegworks.com/homebrew-keg-refrigerator-no-tanks-421-p16584?page=1
I'll be buying in a couple of weeks, but recently noticed that it's not 'outdoor rated'. I found an outdoor rated Summit, but it has a 1 corny keg capacity: http://www.kegerators.com/equipment/summit-outdoor-kegerator-SBC490OS.php
The kegerator will be in a mostly enclosed outdoor patio and will be safe from the rain, but will be outside with the humidity and Texas summer heat.
My questions:
1. Can anyone tell me about their experience with outdoor kegerators, especially in the summer?
2. Does 'outdoor' rated refer more to electrical protection or does it mean it's better insulated?
3. Are there kegerators I'm not looking at that I should consider?
Thanks!
Scott
