Hey Gang,

Am look at a 72qt Igloo Marine cooler for a mash tun and wondering if anyone has any experience with this line? Any thoughts on how well it maintains temperatures or reliability (as in not falling apart after a few uses)?

Want to do 10 gallon high gravity batches and going to build a copper manifold for it eventually.

Or any other suggestions for a reasonably priced rectangular cooler near that size?

:mug:

It will be way too big for 5 gallon batches (although it will technically work), but if you're only doing 10 gallon high gravity many people use this cooler with great success.
I have a 15 gallon (60qt) Igloo Ice cube with custom cpvc manifold and it will easily do 10 gal 1.080 beers, and can theoretically do 1.090 beers. It's definitely better for 5 gal batches because of the lesser amount of headspace.
