To swim in a beer swimming pool. Would it be easier or harder to doggy paddle? If I start to sink, can I drink the beer-level down, and thus make myself rise? Would doing so make me drown anyway? Would it be refreshing, or sticky and vile....

These are the thoughts that kept me out of the Ivy League.

I'm really trying hard to think of something witty... but I can't. That's PART of what kept me out of the ivy leagues...

If a creamy farts in a homebrew filled bathtub,

Could a Rhino smell it?

My bet is yes...everyone knows rhinos have some of the best sense of smell.

"The Saddest Music In The World," set in a 1930s Winnipeg brewery, featured a beer swimming pool that losing contestants would be dumped into. It didn't look deep enough to actually swim in, but I thought you would be amused by the premise anyway:

Also, Isabella Rossellini dons a pair of glass prosthetic legs filled with beer.

There is a lot of beer in this movie.

People either love it or hate it. It's on Netflix Streaming ... you be the judge.

Question. Fresh or stale beer? Fresh carbonated beer would be interesting.

Of course if it was BMC beer; peeing in the pool would improve the product.

I think the longest Police record was Ghost in the Machine at 41:03... not THAT long really... :fro:

I know exactly what scene you're talking about, despite not having seen the original movie in probably over a decade. Should I worry about why you know the exact time for that part? :drunk:

Still not as bad as pretty much the entire Watchmen movie. I saw it in a theater, and even Tyler Durden would have blushed with all the gratuitous giant blueness of it.

The other part was the long police record, right? Same here.

Nah, I was fortunate that my run-ins with the law usually ended with some chastising and a warning rather than me getting processed. It is more so because of my disgust for standardized teaching methods and testing practices. I bet a high end university probably has some interesting teachers but you have to care enough in high school to get into those places. HS was very easy for me hence I did not try, not trying caused me to have issues with the administration, having issues with the administration turned me off of "higher learning" possibilities. Did you know teachers don't like you if you just do the bare minimum while still passing their classes? Graduated (barely) with a 2.2 GPA, went to a community college and it was just like HS so I dropped out, then went to trade school and received a 3.8 with my 2 year degree...

...ugh I could really go for a swim in some beer right now...

The stuff that kept me out of ivy league has been referred to by swmbo as "the most idiotic redneck crap ive ever heard". Was fun at the time though

The bubbles would change the density of the water and would make it difficult to stay afloat.

You should still try it.

You'd drown slowly due to the fact you'd have to get out to go to the toilet numerous times, that and you'd be putting up a brave fight with the people trying to save you

I think you would drink you're way out but you would care about living less and less as you edged closer to your goal and inevitability succumb

Intriguing. Imagine what would happen if this became a common practice/trend... but homebrewers found BMC to be more enjoyable to SWIM in than homebrew. I think I just blew some minds...
