So last night I decided to do a pretty simple honey amber BIAB last night and a few buddies showed up to watch the process and have a few with me. Needless to say I woke up this morning to find that we drank 4 GUBNAs, 6 Alpha Kings, 6 Dales Pale Ales and 4 sunset IPAs, pre-boil. I remember grasping I was too drunk to brew and jotting all my recipe mishaps. So here they are. I was doing a no sparge 5 gal batch with 8 lbs 2 row, 5 lbs Vienna and 1lb crystal 80. Mash temp ended up around 150, mash out at 178. Boil was nice and hop additions went according to schedule. Totally forgot to add the 1lb honey until I had already put it in the ice bath. I remember saying " Ahh screw it" and I stirred the honey in anyways ( at about 100 degrees in the ice bath) OG was 1.062 so I'm thinking I got about 60% efficiency. What am I to expect here?
