I tried brewing a sour IPA using +36 acid malt to sour it!

Anyone else tried to brew a sour from using acidulated malt to sour it. How did it work? How much did you use?

i did, a watermelon Gose actually. I think I should have waited for the souring before adding the hops, i was mis-instructed. Its ok , but i didnt get the sour I was after.
