I touched my cooled wort

I had a clogged funnel on an IPA that I brewed that was clogged with hop leaves and had to be unclogged manually by reaching in and poking the leaves through. Best IPA I've ever made - ended up giving away a lot of it though, which is somewhat sad. For some reason, all of my best beer gets given away or stashed away in the basement for aging. I need to brew more low gravity beers instead of epic brews that can be laid down for ages.

I did something stupid this evening. In an attempt to loosen up my 2nd generation US-05 yeast slurry, I shook it up like a mad man! When I opened it up to pitch, it started flowing out. I quickly rushed to the fermenter while it flowed out, inevitably sliding down into my other hand. I pitched into the primary, knowing I just screwed up because some of the yeast came into contact with my hand, sanitized, but still....thoughts? Will report back in a month!

OK, so you introduced a few bacteria into your beer but added several billion yeast cells at the same time. As soon as the yeast start propagating they create conditions in the beer that retard the growth of bacteria and finally stop it completely. No worries.

My man, making my day haha.

about wort chillers, I actually own one...somewhere....
I don't bother, just dunk the hot wort straight into the fermenter(do check that yours can handle it...) and put the fermenter in a cement mixing bucket with cold water...much easier and less chance of infections :D
