Tomorrow I start riding around with the guy whose position I'm filling, Sales Rep for Riley's Brewing in Madera, CA :ban: Super excited because the brewery is starting to take off and I'm the guy responsible for our home market of Fresno. It's a bit daunting, but I still couldn't be happier. I'm actually going to the brewery to bottle a batch of our red IPA on Thursday :rockin: I'll be running pint nights around town and trying to get our beer on the shelves everywhere, possibly doing events like beer festivals eventually.

Cheers to new beginnings and lucky shots! :mug:

How fun!

There is an upcoming beer festival in Monterey - not sure if you'd be interested in showing that far from base but might be worth checking into it!

I think it's in a couple weeks....

Well I had my first few days of riding with their previous sales rep, met lots of people, learned a ton. Helped out with the bottling, got to drink our double dry hopped red IPA fresh from the bright tank at 9am (and get paid for it! :D), set up a few pint nights here and there. Still waiting on my business cards, I can't really be out trying to sell without them but hopefully I'll get them Monday.

We actually just got a distributor for the coast and Dan Riley himself (owner) will be at the Monterey Beer Festival. I'll be going to Raley Field Brewfest up in Sacramento http://www.raleyfield.com/brewfest/ and the California Beer Festival in Novato http://californiabeerfestival.com/marin/index.php if anyone up there wants to come say hi and try our delicious brews. :mug:

Prost! I recently got a job at Jackie O's brewery in Athens, Ohio. Can't wait to get deeper into it. Congrats to you. Here's to a better future with beer included!

Sent from Cheese Doodle Land.

Dunno how much good my support is going to do you from the Mojave Desert. But for whatever it may be worth, you have it....

If you want to venture off the beaten path and expand a little, get hold of Jerry at Discount Liquors in Blythe, CA. In the middle of nowhere, he prides himself on providing a selection of beer that ranges from Belgian saisons to English nut brown ales....

Oh how cool! Is he setting up here, or simply attending?

Have fun at the Brewfest! Sounds like you fell into a great job there!

Dang, almost makes me wanna go. Last time we went, 3 years ago, it was poorly organized and elbow-to-elbow to get up to the tables. AND we were the OLDEST people there! LOL!

We'll see, the Fairgrounds is within walking distance from home. We COULD be convinced to give it another try!
