Hey guys,
I made the LHBS Red Ale 23L with Windsor dry yeast. I added an extra ounce of Willemette at 45 mins. I had taken out some grains that remained the wort after the boil and then realized that I had probably also strained the bittering hops to. Well, it's 3 weeks in bottle. Tastes great. I like the extra bitterness but it does have a bit of "bite" and I'm wondering if it will mellow with time in the bottle.
thanks

hops do mellow over time. i first experimented with a 120 ibu ipa a few years ago. after a year and a half, almost no hops at all. not saying you have to wait that long, though
