Crush it REAL Good
Turbinado is easily accessible for me here I'm the states. I haven't experienced the same thing regarding light color as @Peebee I find it is fairly dark right off the shelf and less processed with a molasses twang. It works great in my bitters.
I will venture out at some point and source Demerara and Muscovado because it's fun to experience new things.
Anyway we should hit the brakes on this one as we are on a slippery slope lol. This is Alice In Wonderland territory.
Edit: Here is a couple of pictures of the Turbinado Sugar I use. It is lighter than I remember so I'll concede that point to @Peebee lol. I enjoy it in my brews though.
