YOUTU.BE LINKS DON'T WORK. EVER. The link hast to be www.youtube.com. Is that clear? For example, leon posted this: That's never going to work. I understand that in youtube, if you click the "share" button, or the "copy link" button, it gives you this address. So what to do?

  • Iphone: instead of COPY LINK, click "More" and then "Copy". Then paste here.
  • PC: Just get URL from address bar at top. Don't use the Share button to get the link.
  • Android: no idea, probably same as Iphone.
I believe that will give you an address that will embed here. You might need to remove some stuff at then end of the link (the link should end in "v=xxxxxxxxxxx", where the x's are an 11-character ID. Anything after that ID might cause problems.

Go ahead and try it here in this thread.

Give it a shot Mike

Yeah. I can't get anything else on my droid either. I even tried the browser in desktop mode. Shared the link to email, text etc... No good.

It used to work for me a while back.

On the iphone, you hit the arrow thing, but DON'T select the Copy Link button then.

Instead, there's a MORE button. Hit that and you get a list of other things you can do. One of them is "Copy". That does it.

Sorry to change subject if just for a second. Got off work on time tonight. Normal 8 that I used to have. fU 13 hours days.. even with your overtime - you kill me, suck out my lifeblood. To damm old for that crap

Ok got that outta my system.

I did get off work on time today at a decent time. Wife leaves after me every morning and makes sure to leave a tv on for our animals. She thinks it keep them from being lonely. Can't say she's wrong bout that.

So since I was home early I decided to make dinner. Kitchen TV was on as I've mentioned. Jeopardy was playing; the TV show.

The statement made "treat others as you would like to be treated". Nobody knew the question. Come on. Really? WTF?!

What is the Golden Rule?

I know it's played out daily here. I think so too mostly in society. Maybe game time nervousness of Jeopardy show made all four forget the question to the answer
I'll believe the jitters got them. I'm hoping

Jeopardy folks are so smart. Hard to imagine they didn't know that.

Yes it is. I was a bit shocked

To sort get back to the topic before I derailed it - phones. Sometimes I can play the embedded you tube links sometimes not although when I go to YouTube they always work. However, saying that I believe since changing to the iPhone 7 the links from this site/ embedded videos work. I'll have to double check. I use my iPhone 6 i to watch Netflix, surf the net here at home; it has to be connected to WiFi. The phone is no longer able to hold a charge so always needs plugged in. It's a half a$$ replacement for a laptop. My iphone7 I'm trying to use sparingly so maybe it will last, work correctly longer than a year.

We no longer have laptops or a PC although one would be more convenient. My wife recently wants to set up an office in our spare bedroom. Desk, PC, printer, all the works. I'm nearly convinced.

I am a big fan of my Chromebook. It cost about $200 and does everything that I need it to do (except Beersmith). It is fast and I don't have to worry about viruses. It really is nothing more than a tablet with a keyboard, but it serves the purpose nicely.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into that CGVT. Not really looking to spend a bunch of money on a PC, that sounds like a backwards these days.

So my idea to maybe make some money off the Cerveza Credenza hasn't gone far. My wife put an add on CL. No hits yet. However it has been promised for free for two weddings this summer. One is my niece's and I said free because it wouldn't be right to charge my family.

Another is for the prez of Swab hospital here in Hawaii. He's a client of my new SIL and was at my daughter's wedding. He asked my SIL if he could use it for his son's wedding. I don't know if he offered to pay or not. Daughter said yes of course you can use it free of charge. Oh boy...

Im definitely putting my name and number on it the next time it goes out. Advertise a little.

Well, I learned something new today that I probably should have known. The navy re-uses ship names!

Today, the USS Enterprise was retired (no, not the one that Cpt Kirk piloted). It was a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. But there was an earlier USS Enterprise, one that saw action during WWII (a lot of action). And there's a new USS Enterprise scheduled to sail in 8 years. If I could live my life over, I might consider the Navy. Man I love these boats.

So here's the pics. The old one, the nuke one that was just retired, and the one that we will see in a few years. The USS Enterprise - anchors away baby!

That's something I never realized Pappy. Hey! If we could live our lives over it'd be pretty cool to be shipmates. There is nothing as amazing and bonding as a ship's crew underway. The team work and accomplishments last a lifetime.

My oldest son is totally into rubix cubes lately. Not just the old standard 3x3. He's got all sorts of weird shapes. He just had me mix up a pyramid one and he solved it in no time. "It's all about algorithms" be says. I didn't even know that word at his age.

My 14 year old is the same. Solving the damn things in under a minute.

Isciavo, CGVT; that's pretty freaking cool!! Your kids got some brain power flowing. Probably comes from the parents and nurturing. [emoji41][emoji12]. I mean that. Well done!

idk what you bro's are up to , but im sitting in the den, bastard sword by my side, mead-a-brewing, 2 tallboys in, listening to metallica, beautiful wife/shieldmaiden asleep (with a gorgeous frame and bosom to be jealous of) asleep with the meanest yet most mellow pitbull in this part of the south, with only one thought on my mind, im the luckiest sumbitch alive, cheers friends, skol. also cheers to your smart kids, they will make this world a better place, better than how it was left to us.

You know that time when you know you realize you don't have to drive to work tomorrow? The time when you realize that you want to say something but not offended anyone? Then you remember this section? Then you realize you understand this so you decide it is time to go to bed? Yeah it is like that right now because you're going to bed now.

Nice! :drunk:

It feels great to be home. I've been working out of town for the last month or so. It gets old only seeing the wife and kids on the weekends. We're trying to remodel our kitchen in the midst of it. It's hard to find the energy after a 70 hour week. I'm actually looking forward to getting up early and getting back to it in the morning. We'll see how I do without an alarm and several beers;)

I have been beaten down by the worst music ever on the job site. I officially hate pop country now and forevermore.

I liked the tile guy's Spanish polka better.

Let's see if I can link a good song:

Tom Petty said that today's country music is just bad pop music with a fiddle. I agree.

I hear you on the kitchen remodel, Ischiavo. When we moved to the house we are in we bought a foreclosure. It wasn't in really bad shape, but we've been working on little projects for over 5 years. Changing out dated light fixtures and ceiling fans, painting every room, tile backsplash in the kitchen etc etc.

I am just now getting to painting the kitchen cabinets. They are nice wood, maybe maple, probably alder, but the stain yellowed so badly that they just look like ****. I put off doing anything to them because redoing cabinets is such a tedious job, but I started on them this week. I decided not to strip and restain, but rather paint them today's trendy grey. I stared on Monday and I'm about half way done...
