Happy New Years HBT. It's been sounding like a war zone around here the last five hours. Fireworks are legal in Hawaii with a permit.

Man o man! Couldn't of asked for a more beautiful first New Year's Day here in Hawaii. The air is clear and sky blue (that's not as normal as it sounds, even here these days), the trade winds are coming across the island with gentle force. Families have gathered, traffic is pretty good.

If everyday was today?

Happy New Years to you all!!

Cheers
Dan

I had a nightmare last night. It was the day of the wedding. Cerveza Credenza was set up ready to go, six half barrels awaiting. I reached down and opened the valve on my co2 bottle - nothing! It all leaked out overnight! I woke up in a sweat

I'm seriously considering finding a 5lb bottle to rent as a back up.

The back up is a good idea. Are you transporting and serving on the same day?

There's no way you can't have a backup now. Get two;)

Bah... 2:30am, kinda sleepy but don`t wanna go to bed... enjoying the silence as the kids are sleeping. Could crack a cold one but don`t have none, all I got is this bottle of red tonic and that`s starting to get warm too... Probly hitting the shower and watching a few episodes of old how it`s mades on youtube before going sideways.

How it's made is awesome!

Yes sort of. The beer will be delivered the night before to a house (which I think is on the wedding site)where the groomsmen are staying (I almost said "where da groomsman stay". Can a hauli become a local? Nah). Next morning we'll move them to the serving area not far away. They'll have about 8 hours to settle down after the second move and they'll initially be move from refrigerated truck to barrels of ice till they're served.

Hopefully I'm over duing the ice requirement. The bride and groom aren't home brewers, but I'm not arguing with there beer picks. Here's what they bought: Coors Light, a Maui micro IPA called Big Swell, [emoji3] and of course the beer all Hawaii loves because it keeps Hawaiii green- Heineken!View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1483597640.679412.jpg

I have no idea what project to start next. Might clean deep and straighten up this home from the aftermath, organize my miniature man cave. My wife? I figure shes going on a downhill crash after the twelve month rush of projects is over. Not going to be an easy quit. Nearly like giving up nicotine

I stopped by the Navy uniform/Taylor/cleaners shop at lunch today to pick up my Dress Blues. I had to acquire a new shirt and tie as well. While checking out I mentioned I was seven years retired and wearing the uniform for my daughter's wedding. Long story short. Plain white long sleeve shirt and black tie turned into pleated shirt and bow tie.

I might just replace my avatar.....No. Maybe not. Sean Connery I'll never be close

^ Careful not to drown in the sea down there...

No I`m not bitter, just cold as fook... -22c here right now so no danger of drowning into any natural waters.

Once saw this group ride video from somewhere down there, don`t remember anymore where exactly it was but the view was just stunning. They were riding along this elevated highway following the coastline hanging above the trees on the hillside, riding through tunnels with huge carved doorways. Awesome stuff.

Oh and congratulations to the father of the bride!
