That is my favorite Christmas show. I've forced my 4 & 6 year old to watch and they enjoy. Jingle, jangle, heat mizer, freeze mizer, don't mess with Mother Nature. Way better than Peanuts...
Yes it will do it. A little slowly but it will work.

I'm sure someone can provide the math, but as a single data point, my 50,000 btu burner can boil 12-14 gallons in about 30 minutes, after mash/sparge (around 152 degrees).

First time EVER I have seen the end of a rainbow! Look closely.... It lands 20 feet from my truck on that little concrete island. How cool is that?

On November 2, 2014, in the USA, most clocks are set back - why?
Day light Savings - of course.
I'd like to take a minute to recognize a great American, a man of enlightenment, a man of science, a man whose contributions included, but are not limited to:
The development of electricity, and restored reading vision for my middle aged friends who have arms not long enough to focus on text. He gave us Bifocals! ( I still don't need them by the way. I have very long arms. )
He is a man whose words are often quoted whether he said them or not, and an old school home-brewer who developed unique recipes we still try to replicate.
He once said:
"Beer is great, God is good, and people need more drinking time".
He gave, or maybe better well said. Planted a seed in fertile grounds, the idea of Daylight Savings in the US of A.
Of course, you all know who I'm referring to - Benjamin (no middle name) Franklin!! AKA by his brewing buddies and friends as just, Ben.
Ben suggested DayLightSavings in his writings. There were men after him who endorsed the idea. The president FDR, shortly after WWII began, made daylight savings real.
So when you get an hour extra sleep this weekend or just enjoy the long day basking in the summer light. Remember. Benjamin (NMN) Franklin.

To me, what is interesting is before the nineteenth century universal time zones were not established. Now GMT and universal time zones are established worldwide.
France rebelled at that for awhile. It's pretty funny though. They were okay with splitting the world by 15 degrees longitudinally and okay with 24 time zones. Twenty five if the International dateline included (I've never quite thought about the dateline.)
For awhile Paris was considered the prime Meridian. Minus nine minutes and 21 seconds less GMT. Now that's funny. Insecurity

Wasnt Daylight Saving Time thought up to help conserve energy (and lamp oil) during war time? It seems sorta defunct nowadays as I find myself going to and returning home from work in the dark during the winter. You hear too much whining about DST nowadays, maybe I should write the current president and request we just split the difference between spring change and fall change and we can be half an hour off the rest of the world and when asked why, just yell 'Murica!
I am actually not looking forward to the DST change.

As far as I know, DST is now related to commerce. More day light during commercial store hours = more exchange of $$.
I love the extra hour, but hate the loss of an hour in the spring even more.
We all shop online anyway, right?

Anybody want to talk about Harley Davidson?
I bought my first many years ago. It was a Sportser. 1200 Ccs of fun. A beginner bike in the Harley world and a power to weight ratio better than many HD made... Well maybe not the V-Rod
My Spotrster cut curves pretty well. It was quick and fast. I pushed a little one day to 100 MPH. It could have gone faster but I was around 38 and knew better. If I'd of crashed the only thing protecting me was a half helmet and some leather. I'm not brave enough for that
My next Harley was an anniversary bike. A 2003 FatBoy. Black and a lot of chrome. The previous owner put on kick butt pipes and had the carb and air cleaner enhanced. I added 39 inch beach bars and ran the wiring inside the handlebar tubes. I added shiny chrome controls as well. I did all the work myself. I also replaced the stock seat with a a classic solo seat. It's pretty high quality. When I had money I didn't spare expenses. The seat also had a back seat. It's pretty freaking awesome- the set
I also added quick detachable leather Buffalo saddle bags and an expensive Quick release windshield
The FatBoy I bought in 2006, it was a 2003 model and had only 1200 miles on it. I haven't riden it much in the last four years. The mileage gage is now sitting at 23,000. But I'm thinking about selling it. I'm conflicted about that. There is no way I can ever buy a bike like that again. I'll just hold on to it probably. Maybe give it to my son someday.

So do you no longer ride Dan? If you are getting use out of it and it still makes you happy, I say keep it until it doesn't. Or until events happen that necessitate it to go. Be they financial, health, or finding that perfect person who will love it and treat it even better than you have.
