Last night was so busy I couldn't even get on. Hoping tonight I can get some good quality HBT time.

5 AM and why am I awake?

Must get more sleep!!!! But, since we are up, what do you want to do now?

Yep. Do you want cream and sugar? Just cleaned a couple mugs. Did you drain the water out of the hot tub? Good idea because otherwise we could have drowned.

Nope. I actually drained the hot tub because I needed water to make the coffee. Enjoy!

So my SIL spent 3 grand on some silly machine that makes "miracle water". She was completely serious about it. Gave me a couple gallons and warned it only lasts a couple days so drink up. I told her I needed more, from now on gonna make my beer from this so-called miracle water. I will call it miracle beer. :tank:

She spent the money on this miracle water machine because she thinks it will heal all that ails us. I think she is delusional but don't tell her I said that. Gonna make my own miracle water from used hot tub water full of naked bodies. Here, you drink it.....

Here is my rusty old Avery. Believe it or not, it runs.

I've heard mixed things about those.. Basically is alkalizes and ionizes water, which is supposed to make you well. I don't generally go in for that kind of hooha

That thing is cool!

I found it's not really much of a leap to all grain. Decided to brew today too, an IPA. Just started my mash.

Got to the boil and this is the time I feel ready for a nap. Gonna resist the urge.

This song has been stuck in my head for some reason. His voice is not really good, but like the song anyway.

I'm almost to boil for my second all grain batch. Hit gravity on the money and didn't miss my volume by much so I am very happy. Just wish I had made the move sooner!

How's it going? I'd say my brew day went well, didn't spill anything. But I swear I had to muster every bit of strength in me to lift this stuff. Still sore from Tuesday brewing, this might hurt tomorrow. Dragging, pulling, trying to lift... whew, I'm wiped out. Too tired to worry about much, even though all hell breaking loose around me. Just family members sick. But I will stay healthy if I can and happy brew day dance. :ban::ban:

It's that time of night for me.
I got up at my usual 3:30 AM so it IS late in my world.
Working on, tweaking, building, and customizing amps is a lot like
making our own beer.
More of a passion than a money making deal...done for the satisfaction
of doing it yourself and adding one's own touch.
No computer amplified device can capture the dynamics of vacuum tubes.
Reminds me of the smooth sound of those old tractors BobbiLynn keeps talking about.
My only contact with them any more is on RFD channel and their great vintage tractor shows.

So another shot of my "amp porn", and a clip of old Joe.

Went well ... Hit my gravity on the nose. Only issue was my volume was about a half gallon short. I'll take that to get the beer I want though. After cleaning up I'm exhausted!

A light-hearted song that your talking about your dog got me thinking of.

Music and beer go so good together. Sounds awesome!!

Great forum.
On week four of my "big boy" setup away from the Mr. Beer starters years ago.
I have learned this: Time.
So batch #1 is in bottles from last week, and will be for at least two more weeks.
So I made (3) 5 gallon brews in three weeks.
Amber, then Wheat, and now Pale.
Batch #2 is now 2 weeks in primary and FG is stable (tastes great too).
Will bottle that hopefully tomorrow if I have enough bottles.
Working on "making bottles" right now as I check out some vintage Art Bell.
Nonsense, but I like to listen to him...Omni Magazine on the radio.
Batch#3 is one week in primary and will probably also shoot for two.

The plan was to get away from store bought beer altogether and establish a routine.
But I don't drink beer fast enough to make all of those bottles...and I don't want to buy any.
Not room for kegging either.
So a couple weeks from now I will have enough bottles for everything to "flow", and should be all HB by the end of March.
Sticking with the simple kits ($30.00 range) DME, LME, some with grains and hops.
So my recipes are growing as I learn.
I did buy an autosiphon...I am not going to risk another bottling disaster like last week.

Nope, guess I live a sheltered life.

...Or I'm just old!
That was standard top 40 fare in the early 70's.

I turned 50 last Monday.
Not really feeling it.
Can't run like I did at 30, but not having too much trouble.

As long as I get my "senior nap".
Don't mess with my nap time!

:)
