You know sometimes the painfully obvious escapes me. I was using a turkey pot and a low pressure 6 inch banjo burner and would have to throttle it way back after the hot break. I switched to a keggle and boiling the same volumes could barely get a boil.

I think that skirt on the bottom of the keggle was holding the bottom of the pot just high enough that it was not heating as well as a flat bottom pot right down low on the burner.

Sigh another reason to buy a new pot:p

Get one of these KYOTTO-AC-Solid-State-Relay-SSR and one of these Camco-02963-Heater-Ripple-Element and a few other odds and ends and turn that keggle into an electric boiler. Cheaper than a new pot and no more propane.

Dudes and dudettes, I fell asleep last night at 10pm. I never fall asleep that early. WTF

Get used to sleeping when you can, when are the twins due? Thought of names for them yet? Just one and he could be Creamy Jr. but there's the other one to think about too. Awwww, I love babies. Babies and puppies. :)

My beers bubbling away. Running out of room to even put the beer I'm brewing. Realizing most of my friends don't even drink. Oh well, more for me.

The lady from the horse farm coming to get her tractor today. It will be sad watching it go. And gotta get more pictures of junk posted. Family was all worried I'd start selling stuff, and now I am. Nothing is theirs. Sorry, nothing in life is free, you can't have it. :p I'm beyond caring what they think. Money will go toward getting crops in the ground and medical bills, of course.

Oh dont you start that again Bobbi!! teehee.

One of my tricks for derailing the "but I want babies now!" discussion with the wife is telling her I want to name the little buzzard horrible names. Isosceles, for instance. Or Orin. She hates that name. Then I start breaking out the Dungeons and Dragons names. Korrock. Mudarl. Gobbo. Always a lot of fun. I get the destroyer of worlds face though... always wise to stop then.

So how are you feeling today Bobbi after your twin batch brew day:cross:

So are you going to give us a link to the stuff you are selling? I would be interested in the scales you had:)

Do you know that "orin" also means pee in spanish :D. You got to be cruel to name your kid like that. This being said I know a peruvian maid in the hotel where I work that has a teenage kid named "Stalin" how f***ed up is that?

Another f***ed up name:

Dang man I thought I was bad naming my daughter after a flower.

This calls for a song

Feeling good actually. A little sore but in a good way. Feel like I actually did some work. We're starting with just getting the vehicles posted. So people can come get the parts they want. Hubby has programs on his computer to show the value of various parts so makes it easy. They can take the parts off themselves. We already sold some seats and couple fenders that the guy is coming to get today.

Hubby's barn used to be a feed store, that's where all the scales came from. A couple generations ago there used to be horses and over 200 head of cattle, that's where the big scales came from. May just put some of the scales in the classified section here. Anything that will weigh ounces to maybe 10 pounds would be good for brewers? They are old heavy scales with weights. But a lot of them missing the weights. Would like to try to find all the pieces before selling. I snagged 2 scales for myself. Seems like they would be expensive to ship so it might have to be just local sales. Not sure the value on a 2 ton scale, but got one of those too. So much research, so much stuff, so little time.

I just have a affinity for old beam scales for some dumb reason. Silly I know but meh we all have our crosses to bear and mine is old equipment

Here's one of the old scales. But see the first one pound weight doesn't go with this set. Gonna clean this one up and probably keep it. Hopefully find the other weight that goes with it.

Tell her you will name your twin sons Sue and Donna. That will be nice.

That looks nice, keep digging you might find the weight.

Really cool Bobbi. I hope you find the lost weight :ban:

I love old stuff like that. Before my ex wifes dad passed away he gave me a bunch of old tools from his great granddad. I use the tools to this day and just enjoy seeing them in the shop

Umm just read what I wrote and I hope you do not get fat:D

There is a show called American Pickers that I just love to watch. The way they brag about how much money they make kind of pisses me off but I love to see the old barns and would love to dig through them looking for old stuff. Kind of like diving into history you might say:mug:

No way I'll ever get fat. :) And I do need to find that lost weight in more ways than one. People always try to feed me. Sometimes makes me mad when people are insensitive about it. Actually was told this: "You are way too skinny. I hope you don't think you look good." Did I say I thought I looked good? No! I try to eat and drink beer and gain weight! Would love to be able to sleep on my side without annoying hip bones making it uncomfortable. Even hubby told me you don't have a tail bone, you've pretty much got a tail. I will eat more bacon and peanut butter!!!!

I went from 250 pounds down to 195 which is about right for my hight and build. I did not diet nor really change anything in my life other than a few health issues that have been resolved. My wife tells me I got no bum now as well and honestly I am fine with that since I feel better.

And as a bonus it does not take as much beer to get drunk anymore :cross:

Yep, couple beers is all it takes for me. Try to brew low ABV so I can handle more but still, doesn't take much. I even have been at restaurants where the waitress brought me free food. Say things like, "this was cooked extra and thought you might want to try it." When to the bakery and they gave me free donuts. Skinny people get free donuts!!! When strangers try to feed me I think maybe something wrong with me, but I think I just have big bones and that's why they stick out.

Hahaha!! Somebody give that girl a milkshake for the love of God :D

Wow BobbiLynn... actually... sounds like you have a lot of kind strangers in your area. Regardless of the effect, thats a whole mess of hearts in the right place.

In other news, I just called someone an annoying troll. I dislike that guy.

I don't like him either. He makes me mad. Now, who is he? You don't have to answer that. And yes, I live near 2 small towns where I shop. Everyone is so nice. I also get random hugs.
