I like this time at night on HBT

And I am debating if I should bottle tonight. Bottle = drunk just because I drink when I bottle and brother I can stretch out the process a bunch when I need to

Bottle it!!! Brew day went great!!! My totally awesome wort chiller had me down to 80 degrees in just over 10 minutes!!! Is is okay for the wort to be churning rapidly while it chilling? Worried a little it would go everywhere or the kettle would tip but it didn't.

Only if it's churning because you have a nice hole in the chiller spraying water out into your wort.

Your ground water must be warm or mine bitter cold. Ten minutes and I am below 70 and at 15 minutes 65. Have to love the coolers huh

I was trying not to let the chill water get into the wort. And managed.

I am sure Florida ground water is warmer than in Idaho. Everything done outdoors, in the hot sun, made it easy to keep mash temp.

I find that when I swirl the chiller around that it cools down faster. I'm not sure of the principles behind it, but the thermometer doesn't lie.

I have been thinking about buying that software that lets you talk and then it types what you say. You know the one with the awful long commercials. I hate typing after I have been drinking.....Stupid keys do not stay in the same place

With the software, I would think you could have the same problem when the tongue stops working.

I have that software, Dragon, and it doesn't work when your speech is slurring. It'll type the craziest stuff that it thinks you are saying. Dang, wish I could think of an example. But the drunker you get, the more it can't understand you. Well, I guess unless you teach it your voice while you are drunk, then maybe it would work. You have to "train" the software when you first get it. Unfortunately, I trained it while sober. When I was much younger, late teen and early 20s, my philosophy was always go to job interview high as a kite, then they will just think that's how you are. Roll up the windows and smoke up on the way to work. And perfume, lots of perfume.

If you keep wort moving past the coils, heat will exchange more efficiently. That's the whole idea behing the Jamil style chiller. That and it whirlpools at the same time.

Just in from the pub...... My pub, 'twas a quiet night just a couple of regulars so when I finished we played pool and had some of my 'not so great ' hob goblin clone...they enjoyed it and I relaxed after a long night

I found an aluminum strainer that fit down in there and bent the handle 45 degrees, up, manually stirred up and down in the center. It was sloshing everywhere and cooled much faster than my norm. I wasn't stirring, I was churning!!!
