I'd start with some swearing. Then I'd blame the wife/kids for distracting me when I was trying to brew

this happened to me last weekend, i ended up having to transfer my mash into another container, reassemble manifold, and transfer it back as quickly as possible.

i was doing a 10 gallon batch with ~20lb grain. I used a 1/2 gallon pitcher to transfer the majority of mash back and forth. i had already done 60 min mash before i realized something was up. (stuck sparge)

Do nothing during the mash...after the 60 minute rest, try and just empty the cooler through a strainer strainer into your kettle...no strainer, how bout a pair of panty hose?? Get creative! I wouldn't muck w/ it until the grain is converted.

I went with this opiton it was fast and it will turn out good

Use some small stainless screws so you can take it apart to clean

I soldered three T's on my manifold so I can still take it apart, but there's more rigidity.
