Im thinking I just put it though a funnel with a screen on it....45 mins till I need an answer.

this happened to me last weekend, i ended up having to transfer my mash into another container, reassemble manifold, and transfer it back as quickly as possible.

i was doing a 10 gallon batch with ~20lb grain. I used a 1/2 gallon pitcher to transfer the majority of mash back and forth. i had already done 60 min mash before i realized something was up. (stuck sparge)

Do nothing during the mash...after the 60 minute rest, try and just empty the cooler through a strainer strainer into your kettle...no strainer, how bout a pair of panty hose?? Get creative! I wouldn't muck w/ it until the grain is converted.

Shotgun - > Cooler -> drive to homebrew shop for new gear..
I might solder the copper...

Why couldn't you just borrow someone else's MLT from the building? Isn't it like 50% occupied with homebrewers? :ban:
