So, I had never tried skimming but was inspired by a podcaster who always skimmed (except forFWH) to prevent boilovers. Today I made two batches and skimmed them both. On the first batch I sat there with my spray bottle like a cat ready to pounce but I didn't need it once. On the second batch I just walked off an ignored it after seeing that it was obviously not going to misbehave. I have seen the light! I'm a believer!
I've spent the last hour reviewing threads and articles about skimming and it looks like I'm probably not going to notice any difference in my finished beer either. If that's the case I look forward to more relaxed brew sessions.:rockin:
