A couple months ago a bought 4lbs of hops in bulk for less than half the price of buying them from the LHBS. Now I'm not sure if I can finish them before they go bad. I am storing them in the freezer.

Magnum
Cascade
Centennial
Citra
Amarillo
Simcoe

I'm thinking an american IPA would be good, but I've already made one and want to dry something different. I love the fruitiness of the citra, amarillo, and simcoe. I'm still doing extract brews at the moment.

Any ideas? :tank:

American Amber with lots of dry hop! That's my favorite spring beer and Citra/Amarillo/Cascade pair really well!

They won't go bad in the freezer, you've got some American beers to brew my friend!

Yeah, plenty of american beers on your horizon.

I'd recommend an American Brown if you're into the style.

Perhaps a hoppy wheat beer like Gumball Head? Look up the extract clone for that beer. It features mostly Amarillo, but I'm sure you can change it up.

Any recipe recommendations?

I don't have a good extract recipe but if you search for a good extract Amber Ale recipe and then dry hop it with 3 ounces of hops for each 5 gallon batch you will end up with a malty but hoppy aromatic spring beer that is perfect for sipping all spring long! :mug:
