So, ladies and gents, I brewed on Sunday and relused that due to over shooting my OG, under shooting my colour( forgot the chocolate wheat) and intentionally over bittered.
It was going to be a Vienna lager.
OG 1.060
2/3 Vienna malt
1/3 pilsner malt
40 ibu( mostly Saaz at 60 and 20 with a smattering of Bobek at 60)
Lager yeast

If I wereto try to classify it, what would this beer be stylewise?
Cheers

Something inbetween Czech Premium Pale Lager and Helles Bock. Considering 2/3 of Vienna, i'd say it's closer to the first category, just right at the higher fringe.

Vienna Lager does not need any roasted malt, even if all the known/big breweries do it and all recipes found include that. A Vienna Lager should not be overly toasty, and definitely no roast character. So yours would be better than you originally intended.

But you will probably get like a Pale Lager of sorts. A Helles Bock has a bit more character than a Lager, so a Lager is what you got.
