Yesterday after noon I got together with a couple friends and brewed. They are partial grain guys I jumped in with all grain. Here is what I did now I sit fingers crossed waiting. I have been bitten!

1 roasted barley
1/2 choc
3/4 80L crystal
1/2 C molasses
1 flaked oats
2oz Erroica
2oz cascade
1tsp Irish moss
4T ground coffee
Irish ale yeast
H2O 153 into cooler mash tun added grain and coffee let sit 60min. Added H2O at 160 to oats seperatly to steep for 20min
Strained and sparged oats in a strainer added molasses.
Began draining mash tun sparked with H2O at 170 to get aprox 6 gal.
Began heating
I didn't know what to do with the beautiful dark liquid that was still draining from my mash tun so I added it to the pot as it was heating. Just couldent bare the thought of wasting it. Also sampled some.
Boil began 15 in added 2oz of erroica
At 45 in added cascade and moss
Boil ended
Chilled to 70deg moved to fermenter and pitched yeast.
SG was at 1.050
Taste test
Dark Dark rich hoppy coffee chocolate notes. I cant wait to sample finished product.
