I just got a keg and kegerator for x-mas. I can't figure out how to attach the keg. I have a couple of photos that might help. Let me know if you can help and I could email you the pictures or something like that.

A quick respose is appreciated. Thanks!!

I would second the picture post to be 100% certain.

Pin Locks will have a couple of little pins on the side of the posts whereas Ball Lock kegs will have none; it'll have a groove where ball bearing style fitting will rest in a groove at the base of the post.

Congrats on the big move into kegging - you wont look back; I promise!

I is easy enough to tell the difference. Pin locks have little pins (about 1/8 of an inch) sticking out on either side of the post. Ball locks do not have any pins.

ok here are the pictures

You don't. The fitting that is on your kegerator is for a commercial Sanke keg. You have to cut that off and put a ball lock quick disconnect on it to use your kegs.

and i can get one of those at like a homebrew shop?

also is there an easy adapter so that i can switch between the two?

You can't.

You need ball lock disconnects for the corny keg.
You have a commercial sanke keg connector.

You'll need some piping and adapter as well.

'Fraid you'll have to wait.

Your keg is a ball lock.
The tap you show is a Sanke commercial tap.

Your best bet to switch between the two:
Get MFL (Male FLare) Ball lock quick disconnects.
For your tubing: 1/4" hose stub and nut.
For the Sanke, you'll replace the stem pieces with a 1/4" MFL stems.
Austinhomebrew or Northernbrewer are two online sites that carry these parts, if your LHBS does not.

Good luck...
