Ok so im a noob that want to brew a nice smooth and sweet ale, What kind of hops to use and do you recomend honey? I am sooooo clueless right now. I dont want a bitter flavor. Any help would be FANTASTIC!!!! thanks so much for any help:)

I would use a low Alpha Acid hop like a East Kent Golding or Fuggle. These being English in nature will impart a very mild flavor. I would go for a Irish red or an English Brown, both are on the sweet side.

Basic recipe for a Red:

6lb Pale Liquid Malt Extract
1lb Cyrstal Malt 80L
1oz East Kent Golding (60min)
.5oz Fuggle (20)

Irish Ale yeast Wyeast 1084 or any Irish-British Ale yeast
