Howdy folks, I'm Eric, I've brewed about 30 or so gallons of mead over the past year or two and am thinking about getting a little more serious with it. and making a conical fermentor for about 35-50 gallons worth. I thought it would be a good idea to pick some brains before diving headfirst into building one though. so far, my favorite mead has been the sparkling raspberry lemon that I finished about 6 months ago (went really quick), I've also done a couple of straight meads, of varying sweetness, and a semi-sweet lemon mead. I'll start a thread dedicated to the design and construction of my fermentor when I start design.

Cheers-

Eric

so far, all I have is a very basic sketch of what I want to do, along with a few ideas floating around for windows, and sediment capture/removal, heating, cooling, and non intrusive mixing. I'm working on a few simple drawings on pen and paper ATM, which I will transfer to a cad file once they are more finalized.
