Shiner Bock: OG 1.044, IBU 13, ABV 4.4%
AHS Texas Bock: OG 1.045, IBU ??, ABV 4%
Clone recipe Below: OG 1.050, IBU 53, ABV 4.9%
1.5 lbs Munich 10L malt
1 lb flaked maize
2 oz black patent malt
5 lbs Light DME
1 oz Centennial @ 60 min
½ oz Liberty hops @ 10 min
Wyeasts 2206 Bavarian Lager yeast
But this isn't even close to typical German-style bock which has:
OG: 1.066 - 1.074
IBU: 20 - 35
SRM: 20 - 30
ABV: 6 - 8%
How does the recipe above compare with a Munich Dunkel? Even close with the grain bill?
Does anyone have a good recipe for a standard German-style bock (not Doppelbock)?
Marc.
