Howdy from Afghanistan

Obviously not brewing anything currently since I am in Afghanistan. Mostly joined on the recommendation of Smokinghole. I love beer and cigars. Lately I have had alot of cigars and beer will have to wait until next June. Right now I live in the beer heaven of Bamberg, Germany. My brewing experience started from a couple guys and a weekly poker game with lots of beer consumed and an episode of Good Eats with Alton Brown. Next thing you know we were brewing regularly. Started with Altons recipe and moved on to some extract kits from a local organic place in Santa Cruz. Haven't brewed in a while but my recipe has gotten some attention lately so I thought I better get as smart as I can while I can. So far I love reading what you guys share and making notes of what I need to drink on leave in January! Thank you for having me!

If it were possible, I would ship you all a keg of beer on a weekly basis for all you do for us here at home. My son served 2 tours in Irag and I know from his experiences how difficult it can be for all of you.
