Hi Guys,

So im in the mood to make a chocolate stout and wanted to use some of Theo Chocolates that I have at home (killer taste!). Im concerned that the fat and sugar in the chocolate could drastically alter the flavor of the beer. I have looked online and I have only seen recipes that use coca powder.

Any suggestions on 1) how to use chocolate bars in recipes, 2) great Chocolate Stout recipes?

Thanks for the help,
FW

EDIT: I also have chocolate nibb I can use, if you guys think this is better can anyone whoes used it instruct me on the process. I greatly appreciate it

I read another thread that said to take two bars for 5 gallons and use a double boiler and make the bars into liquid form then stir them into a secondary and stir well and that should do it i guess. i'm going to try it with my coffee stout that has way to much coffee and i split the batch and added a half batch on top of each making one a chocolate coffee stout and the other just trying to dilute the super strong coffee flavor .
