I've gotten to where I don't believe anything I see on the internet. I checked snopes on this but nothing came up.
I'm thinking that it wouldn't work. We need a locksmith to chime in.

I didn't get a chance to try it
Even though I got my car (had to take the wifes car, even with a block heater the truck wouldnt start, gonna have to break out the hiar dryer today) into the bay by the time I went to bed (about 2AM) the car still hadnt dethawed enuff for me to try it. I guess it takes a while for a hunk of metal like a car to warm up from -10f when it's only 50f (at the most) in the bay.

I tried it but it didnt work. My lock is on the handle however, and I couldnt get a good seal. Im not sure how it would work though, just air pressure? Why not just stick something in the key hole wouldnt that be the same thing? Air pressuer is not going to turn the key lock.

I think its stupid either way. Ive never lost a key and if I was to steal cars Id buy a slim jim.

Air pressuer is not going to turn the key lock.

You dont need to turn the key lock to get it to unlock, all ya need to do is move the locking mechinism, thats what a slim jim does. If it does work it would be great for the firehouse. I HATE sticking slim jims into electric locking cars

I find it hard to believe. This assumes that the door holds enough pressure to force the mechanism. There are too many places air could escape and the mechanism in not necessarily linear. Sometimes there are a couple of angles between the attachment point and the lock mechanism.
