The you tubers just say that "it's tricky to set up the gaskets the first time, but then I figure it out"

That is not helpful. I am sure the good folk here who own one, can send me something helpful. And they know exactly what I mean.

You appear to have it fully assembled and ready to go - just pop the metal float into the wire hooks on the end of the filter. The other gaskets are simply spares for the two you can already see holding the filter together. The shorty dip tube is merely provided as an option if you want to really short tube on the gas side.

Yeah, it looks assembled, but I can't get that gasket on the high side to hold in tight to the outer filter. It can go on in two ways. I'm sure there must be some technique here I'm missing

Where the silicone tube connects to the inner filter should be outside the gasket rather than inside (i.e. the inner filter will be flush with the outer filter at the other gasket and sticking out on the end where you connect the tube). That lower gasket should be fitting around the inner filter rather than the silicone tube. This helps that gasket sit in the right place to interface to the outer filter.

Beyond that, there's no real trick that I've found other than to just fiddle with it (I own 16 of these).

Aha. That's it.

You assemble the filter pieces, including gaskets, BEFORE you attach the silicone tube. then the tube is what holds the gasket pressed against the filter.

And that inner "moat" circling around the gasket, that clamps on to the inner filter and holds the inner filter in place.

whew.

I am going to put one of these things in all my kegs.
