I'm brewing a nice dry stout tomorrow morning and I'll be using flaked barley in the recipe. But I'm not sure how to prepare the barley. Should I run it through the mill like malt? Just throw it into the mash?

Either.
I mix mine in with my grain as I'm measuring it out and it goes thru the mill, but it's so thin that the mill does nothing.

Just weigh, then throw the flaked barley right into the mash the way it is. There is no need to run it through the mill or pre-cook it.
