I have about 6 gal of cider that has been aging in my carboy since last fall.
I plan to backsweeten it with more original juice which I had frozen.
Problem is, the cider is now very clear but the juice is of course cloudy. I had not thoht about that.
How can I clarify my gallon jug of juice before adding it so I don't end ip with a cloudy cider?
I know it wont hurt anything but I prefer to have a clear finished product.

Add pectic enzyme to the juice u still have before back sweetening. Let it drop out and then add the clear cider to the fermented cider.

I'd taste that frozen stuff first tho. I haven't had luck with freezing juice for that long.

Gelatin can help. 1/2 teaspoon unflavored gelatin (I use Knox brand) per gallon dissolved in a little hot water can clarify the cider pretty quickly in some cases, but not all unfortunately. Worth a try anyway. If it works you will see results in 24 hours.
