How much yeast packets should I use?

So I'm brewing a Double IPA and it's supposed to have a OG of 1.087. I have 2 packets of White Labs San Diego Super Blend (WLP090) and it was packaged on January 7 2016. Will this be enough yeast or should I go out and buy more packets or make a starter?

For an optimal fermentation you should make a starter or use a 3rd yeast package. I'd be inclined toward two packs of S-05 because I am a lazy brewer and with a beer that big, I'd use yeast nutrient as well.

That won't really help since the first two will have probably already finished the reproductive phase.
