I did a quick search and I did not locate anything on this although I'm sure it's been discussed before. If you are using LME for a recipe that calls for DME, how much more LME do you need to use? Is there a standard accepted conversion? I gotta figure the LME to be around 20% moisture and the dry, under 2%. Would 20% more do the job?

I usually use this as a guideline...it's essentially based on that 20% rule as mention above:

1 lb. DME = 1.25 lb. LME
1 lb. LME = 0.80 lb. DME

I doubt this is exact, but it should be precise enough for practical purposes.

milage may vary - my opinion from brewing mixing LME and DME depending on brand and age you'll get a variation of all of the below - but it aint rocket science so I always round up. thanks to other brewers for sharing this with me so I pass it along.

enjoy

grain lb. x .75 = liquid extract
grain lb. x .67 = dry extract
liquid lb. x .89 = dry extract
dry lb. x 1.1 = liquid extract

1.5 1.13 0.9
