I usually use 3/4 cup or 5 oz corn sugar for priming for a 5 gallon batch. I have heard that for wheat beers you should go for a slightly higher carbonation level. Is it ok to use 1 cup (6.67 oz) corn sugar or will I be risking bottle bombs?
Thanks,
Mike

I've done 3 wheat beers since I started brewing and I've always bottled them with a heaped 3/4 cup of dextrose, which is probably pretty close to 1 cup.

The most ive used per five gallons and busted was 2 cups C.S. and then the beer took 3 1/2 weeks to EXPLODE...just wanting to see how much was too much and i think i am happy with going with a lot less than that, more about 1 to1.25 cups is what i will do from now on...
