I've seen a few sources of imported ingredients (hops and what not) and I was wondering how many people have tried them and/or think they make a difference?

Well, I think a lot of ingredients are imported. Muntons grain and of course British hops are imported from the U.K. It's probably very likely that sooner or later you'll end up using imported ingredients without even trying. I suppose there cold be a freshness factor with them, but that would probably be more a result of a store with lower turnover than the fact that it's shipped from oerseas.

I use Briess pale malt (from Wi), but other than that, the majority are probably imported. My bittering hops aren't, but flavor/aroma hops are.

I use imported stuff all the time. If I'm making a British Ale, for example, almost everything is imported from the UK. I think different malts of different strains of barley from different regions have different flavors. Same with hops.
