How many carbonation drops

I am totally new to home brew and a true novice
I used coopers carbonation drops on a lager , it says one per 375ml bottle but I have 500ml bottles
The early samples seem flat

Any advice on how many to use
How long to leave it

I want to use glass bottles on the next attempt and worry about explosions
They are in a garage so not going to harm anyone or animals

I'm very new myself and admit i am just repeating advice from having asked the same question - but i've had advice from someone (not on here afaik, but an experienced brewer) who says 2 in 500ml is fine, it may be slightly more carb'd than originally intended but not enough to make the beer bad by any means and in his experience it has never made anything explode.

If this is wrong please let me know - i've just got everything i need to do my first batch of bottling myself

It was 2 weeks old
The bottles are boxed in a garage so quite cool which I was told helped clearing lager

They are conditioning in a garage after I was told that cooler conditions are better for lager

I will try 2 in 500ml
I would prefer too much fizz in a lager rather than it being a bit flat

With 1 the lager had bubbles and a head but these lasted only a minute or 2

Any more advice on bottling and carbing please keep me up to date

Yes, I would give it more time. It may not end up carbed to your liking, but it should develop more. Personally, I would get away from using drops as soon as possible. The dosing is generic, and you will see better/more desirable results with a priming solution of corn sugar and water.

Can I be rude and attach myself to you for advice ??

How do I make the priming solution and how much do I add etc

Just bottled pale ale with twice as much carbonating drops as an experiment

I guess early days are all about trial and error
