How long will crushed grains last that are in a bag in the fridge. I received a beer kit for Christmas. It was ordered about 3-4 weeks ago, and it's been in a refrigerator in the bag in a box since then. I plan to brew next week. But was just curious as to how the grains will be since its been a couple weeks.

You will be fine. Crushed grain stored in a zip lock, tied bag (with a knot) or ties will be just fine.

Brew that beer! You would be drinking it now if you bread 3-4 weeks ago...

A couple weeks isn't ideal (I usually crush my grains immediately before brewing as I have a mill, but I try not to go more than a couple days), but it's not the end of the world. I would go ahead and use them, just do it as fast as you can. Next week should be fine.

I would have brewed it 3-4 weeks ago if I had it haha. It was a Christmas gift. I just know it's been in the fridge since last month.

I just used a pound of Munich that had been crushed for a little over a year but had been in a sealed bag in my basement ever since. No concerns, though it was only a small portion of the total grain bill.
