How long will bottle beer last?

I have beer that I bottled in April and May that I haven't had time to drink. How long will it last in the bottle and how do I know if it gone bad. I know, I Know we all have beer we didn't have time to drink.

The shelf life largely depends on how well the beer was brewed, but unless everything went wrong with the brew, I'd say you'd be fine with something bottled only 6 months ago. Maybe past it's peak, but still potable, for sure.

It really depends on the style and how its been stored: warm/cold temps? in the light/dark?

I popped a mini-keg in Oct that I kegged last Jun 05 and it was great!
