13.50 lb Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 84.38 %
1.00 lb Oats, Flaked (1.0 SRM) Grain 6.25 %
1.00 lb Roasted Barley (500.0 SRM) Grain 6.25 %
0.50 lb Chocolate Malt (350.0 SRM) Grain 3.13 %
1.00 oz Nugget [13.00 %] (60 min) Hops 29.6 IBU
2.00 oz Williamette [4.80 %] (12 min) Hops 9.2 IBU
1 Pkgs Irish Ale (Wyeast Labs #1084) Yeast-Ale

I'm planning to mash at 148 until conversion is complete. For 8 gallons, OG should be 1.053 at 75% efficiency and 38.8 IBU. I will use a starter for my yeast and split it between two carboys. Fermentation will be at 69 degrees. I don't want the Oats to destroy the head on my beer but I do want some of the texture they contribute. Should I use some Crystal malt as well? Any glaring problems here? Thanks in advance.

I think you're specialty grains look good, but I personally would go for a higher gravity, around 1.065 or even 1.070. I would also up the IBU''s to around 50 and Mash higher at 153-155. I think 148 would make it too thin. Just my two cents. :)
