I am trying to use up some specialty grains and make a CA Common how does this recipe sound? Thins is based upon the Brewing Clasic styles recipe

Pale LME 7 lbs
8 oz Crystal 20
8 oz crystal 40
4 oz victory
Northern Brewer .75 oz 60 min
NorthernBrewer .75 oz 15 min
Northern Brewer .5 oz 0 min
San Fransico Lager yeast

You really should try to mash the Victory malt. I believe it does have enough diastatic power to convert itself. Other than that it looks like a pretty standard Cal Common recipe.

I use a lot more northern brewer, especially late in the boil and dry hopping, but the rest looks ok. Maybe a little light in the grain bill to me... you could add a couple pounds IMO. About ready to keg another batch of my recipe.

Hi. Just checked a recipe resource. Looks good. Some of the recipes I have use more hops though. Your brewery, though, so have fun!

Hey, recipe looks great. I'd use more victory but thats just my preference. And victory has just enough enzymes to convert itself. So steep around 152 to 154 and it'll be good.
