Ow do you determine how much yeast to pinch, I will be using dry yeast. Going to be brewing 5 gallon Belgian wheat beer?

Or you can learn math in behind:

- recommended pitching rate for ales is 0.75M-1M of cells per ml of wort per Plato degree (0.75M-1M/ml/°P)
- if you brew 5 gal batch of 1.052 OG which is ~13°P you will need:
0.75 x 18 900 x 15 = 184 billions of yeast cells
- 11.5 g of dry yeast usually have around 200 billions of cells so this is enough to ferment this batch

Online calcs are great way to calculate right pitch rate, but its always good to know why do you do it in this or that way.
