I want to get a small (as possible) fridge for fermentation. I have a 7-7.5 gallon bucket and a carboy. Any ideas on fridge size I need? Any brands that have a good layout?

Also, where's the best place to get a cheap temp regulator?

I'm dreaming of 3 Chest freezer units. One for fermenting ales, one for lagers and a bigger one for a kegerator. They would fill most of my basement and require 3 temperature controllers.

I would say figure a little larger than your initial plans you might easily decide to do more brews at the same time. You might now think that one would be coming out as another is going in but then you might want to do a big beer that will need to stay in there for a month or more?? If you know what you are looking at an possibly make modifications Ebay always has a lot of listings although many have a location of China!!!

I would love to get a big fridge or chest freezer, but I don't have a lot of space right now.

I am wondering what is the smallest fridge that will comfortably hold my 7.5 gallon primary.

Hopefully later I can upgrade to a real fridge and brew more than one batch at a time.

The sanyo 4433 will hold a 6.5 gallon bucket fermenter with the only mod being cutting outhe door shelves. Will probably hold the 7.5 if your willing to bend down the upper freezer shelf.

Found mine on craigslist for $40.
