Ok I only have one keg under going carbonation in keezer. So there was package in there and last night in the dark I pulled the girlfriend empty package out to pitch and didnt realize the temp probe got wrapped up on it. In the morning I see temp probe sticking out the lid registering room temp. Keg is FROZE. So did I just f up or what?

It'll thaw! The only problem might be if it froze solid, and then damaged the keg by warping it or the diptube.

Hopefully it didn't freeze too solid and damage the keg, and it'll be fine.

It even happened to the right Hon. John Palmer, king of self made beers, if I recall correctly.

Is that some kind of massive autocorrect fail, or did I forget how to read the English language?

I get that the keg froze, so I think I'm ok.

Don't take it out of the keezer to defrost it. Set your temp at your regular carbing temp or higher, take it off gas for a few days and let it defrost while cold to cool. If you warm it too quickly you can damage the keg.

I thought of that, the way a froze beer will erupt when thawing. Left in keezer turned off. It wasn't solid at least, I poured a beer and it flowed. Was very strong so I figured the alcohol at least didn't let it freeze solid. Guess I worded the Gf statement wrong lol Just didn't want to admit she drinks....... lite.......Oh well only been together a month, I got time to convert her to good beer.

Well if it was in the interest of preserving domestic tranquility, then all's forgiven and no further explanation is needed.

Good luck with the brew, and the girlfriend.

Post pics of the beer.

Heres a pic of the beer been sitting at 15 psig this whole time and tastes good but is flat. That lil head you see is all that shows up. And that is pouring straight into glass not down the side. How could the freeze keep it from carbonating? about a 8' line so it pours fast and doesn't foam. Has no co2 bite on tongue at all. other keg sat at 12 for a week then dropped to 4 (4' picnic tap) and it is great, head ,lacing carbonation tongue tingle. I dont get it. Ideas?? wow pic blurry sorry

No bite, but "carbonation tongue tingle"?

Perhaps a hard freeze destroys the long-chain proteins that contribute to head?

Cheers!

The other keg (not froze) sat for a week at 12 psig is now at 4 psig for serving as its on a short picnic tap has the carbonation tongue tingle other keg flat. both almost same recipe other than hops.
