How are Palisade Hops? Don't hear much about them

I'm interested in making a simple APA or IPA to see what Palisade hops bring to the table.

Maybe 1oz of Pearle for bittering and then 3 ozs of Palisade, 2 during the boil and 1 for dry hopping.

This looks like a good hop to try, as it seems rarely used.

I used them in an APA, I got a passionfruit and flowery flavor from them.

I used them once, they were the only hop I used in that batch, which included bitter, flavor, aroma and dryhop additions. IMO (my impression from that one batch) they're best as a complementary hop for flavor and aroma, use a better bittering hop to bitter. As the description says they're fruity, but not citrusy. So next time I might do something like cascade at 60 & 10, palisade at 5 & dryhop.

I bought a half pound of them and have been very pleased. I have not used them in a single hop recipe, but I can definitely say they contribute a very floral flavor/aroma that is excellent with a citrus hop like cascade.

That sounds like the sort of flavor/aroma I got out of NZ Rakau.

Can you get Mikkeller single hop series? They did a Palisade. I liked it and plan on brewing with it in the future. I remember it being very fruity but not citurs also...think berries and apples.
