Funny story: when in grad school, I participated w several fellow dorm suite mates in a contest to see how many steps away a judge (pro tip: how to meet women) could step and still see your mustache. Being of fair hair and fair skin, Yours Truly never passed the 3 step starting point. And even then, when she & I had no idea she was to be the future Mrs Balrog, she was unimpressed w my childlike wonder and amusement. It was it childish? Whatever.
